An understated storefront hides a coveted skyline view—just one of the many ways you could underestimate this longtime cafe on Mount Baker’s main drag. We opened The 3rd BluWater Bistro location in the Leschi neighborhood on March 13, 2004. Mick McHugh handed the reigns over to us after 22 successful years of running the Leschi Lake Café. With a slight remodel we cozy'd up the place, added some fantastic rollback windows, high back booths, some flat screen TV's, and leather furniture by the fireplace. The menu reflects all the goodness that a cozy bistro should offer, including the ever famous & popular "Lake Side Café" Fish and Chips... gotta keep the neighborhood happy. Overall, a great experience. Strange that the front door was left open the entire night on a very chilly evening. There was some of problem with the lock where (-according to the hostess) the door had to be fully open or closed and several patrons complained about it being open. The power went off at some point because of the bomb cyclone, but the team handled it very well. Would definitely return.

We have an absolutely wonderful evening at That's Amore. The food was excellent, and our server was wonderful. The view out of the back window was breathtaking. From the bruschetta, to the salad, to the pasta, to the tiramisu, we were blown away by each course. I had included a note in our reservation that it was my partner's birthday, and each staff member we saw at the restaurant wished her a happy birthday and made sure she had a great exercise. We will definitely come back the next time we have a special occasion to celebrate.
