The Grain House Restaurant is located on the picturesque 10-acre estate of the Olde Mill Inn in Basking Ridge, NJ. The Grain House structure was originally built as a barn in the 1760’s and was used to store grain for American Revolutionary soldiers. The barn was later moved to its current location and opened as a restaurant in the 1930’s. Food was very good! But the noise level was too much. Actually, extremely loud! The table next to us had 3 young women who were literally screaming through their drinks & meals….making it very uncomfortable for my family to enjoy our meal and reasonable volume conversation. It would’ve been nice for a manager to address them. I left feeling they had a sense of entitlement and no one wanted to say anything to them. A ruined evening and experience.

Very good! Overall great experience, I think they should have more variety of proteins options, especially for the vegetarian entree. The food was delicious. I would imagine it would be better to see the property during the day.
