Best Restaurants for Outdoor Dining in North Panhandle / USF

The friendliest restaurant in town! Really took care of us. We were seated in the parklet and were totally comfortable and well cared for. Delicious food from start to finish! Shout out to the starters. They make their own butter. And save room for dessert. We didn't but had it anyways and wouldn't change a thing.

Octavia’s tasting menu is a must-try for anyone who loves thoughtfully crafted, seasonal dishes. Each course is beautifully balanced, with flavors that really highlight the fresh ingredients. The staff is knowledgeable and attentive, offering great wine pairings to enhance the experience. The meal is perfectly paced, allowing you to enjoy each dish without feeling rushed. Waterbar continues to be one of our favorites when we go into the city for a special occasion. It’s stylish without being pretentious, lively, and most importantly, delicious. We had the beet salad, the Dungeness crab tart, branzino, and black cod. All were excellent. The cod was melt in your mouth tender, and simply prepared, so the freshness could shine through.  The warm brown butter chocolate chip cookie to finish was just right.

Went for my wife’s birthday and it did not disappoint. There wasn’t one dish we ordered that wasn’t amazing. And the staff was super friendly and accommodating, highly recommended.

Foreign Cinema is by far one of the best restaurants in San Francisco and throughout the years they have maintained the same quality level. The food is beautifully presented and the innovative flavors are a pleasant surprise to the palate. They have something for everyone. The crew is very well experienced and their recommendations for wine pairing is always right on. Don’t be surprised if they bring complementary dishes. We have been dining at Foreign Cinema since they open and we will continue visiting them.
