- LLeslieSan Francisco Bay Area •4 reviews5.0Dined 2 days agoThe service and atmosphere are impeccable, although it is loud on a busy Saturday night. The roomy, plush seating is reminiscent of a high-end 1950’s Vegas steakhouse, and so nice in a time where so many other places have you practically sitting next to strangers. We ordered the Smashing Dan Dan dumplings for an appetizer. They were delicious, but tiny. We were hoping that wasn’t a sign of things to come, since we came hungry. It absolutely was not! My son had the Wagyu ribeye with chimichurri sauce, which was not only huge, but divine. It was expensive, of course, but he said it was the best meal he ever had! Husband ordered the whole Maine lobster mac and cheese, which was absolutely delicious; rich and creamy, and filled with sweet lobster. I had the duck two ways. The breast was so good; perfectly cooked and plentiful, and the eggplant and baby bok choy accompaniments were very nice. The crispy duck leg was a little dry and over-cooked, however. It was my husband’s birthday and he splurged on a couple tableside-prepared old-fashioneds. The presentation, by the bar manager, was as fabulous as the drink itself. We capped the night with the tableside presented bananas foster. Just delightful. The rum cakes made it the best bananas foster I’ve had. Our server couldn’t have been better. He was attentive, knowledgeable and very professional. We felt pampered throughout the night! All in all, we really loved it and will definitely be back.More infoFahrenheitPrice: Expensive• Contemporary American• Downtown Cleveland•4.4

- JJayVIPCleveland / Akron / Canton •26 reviews5.0Dined on Jan 5, 2025Dining at Edwins is always a delight! My shared dinner with two dear friends was no exception. It began with seating. My friend commented on how cold the night air was and if we could sit where it would be cozy. The host scanned the room of diners and decided, with a brief consultation, to seat us in the private dining area. We had the curtained room to ourselves, but service to our remote table could not have been more accommodating! In search of a wine, the chef, John, pulled himself from a busy kitchen to offer a single bottle remaining from an event he had hosted earlier this season. It was a superb Saint-Estèphe. So began a memorable meal that started with foie gras, perfectly seared, tender, and served with roasted apples and Calvados sauce. Sublime. The salad was a croquet of goat cheese with crisp fresh greens, and our three dinners were grilled rabbit, grouper, and seafood sausage in lemon butter wine sauce. Everyone was pleased with their choice. The food, wine, and conversation flowed with unobtrusive and impeccable service and a warm visit from the restaurant impresario himself, Brandon Crostowski. We were too full to try the desserts and were honoring our New Year's resolutions. We hope to return soon and maybe start with dessert?More infoEdwins RestaurantPrice: Moderate• French• Shaker Square•4.8
