Best Pre-Theater Restaurants in Lincoln Park

Very nice meal and opted for the 3 course menu Monday evening. Mussels, beet salad, short rib and truffles gnocchi were all good. They were accommodating to our 14mo. son and attentive with water and checking in. We'll be back for other parts of the menu- Would recommend!

They have a nice selection of interesting dishes, and most everything was really tasty. I did have a cocktail that was horrible though – a gin old-fashioned, which sounded interesting but was a murky blue green color and tasted like cleaning fluid. No one ever asked me if it was OK. And I don’t think we were over staying our expected time at the table, but at the end the server told us that the next table was ready for our spots when she brought the bill.

First, we noticed the fresh and bright decor. Next, the live music. Beautiful young lady. Amazing voice. I didn’t catch her name, unfortunately. After looking at the menu (thank you for mocktails!) we settled on hushpuppies and fried green tomatoes for apps. Wow. The pimiento cheese and red pepper jelly went perfectly. We also ordered the fried chicken, strip steak, chicken sandwich, cucumber salad, greens, mac & cheese, and shrimp & grits (upgrade to cheddar, totally worth it). Everything was absolutely amazing. Portion sizes were big enough that we all shared bites and still each took to-go boxes home. Mel was outstanding. She had such a great personality and made sure we were well taken care of. The only thing we would change was to wait to place our entree orders until after we finished the appetizers. The food came out so fast that we weren’t finished with the apps. But it was all good. We will definitely be back!!

This was my first time at Blue Door Farm Stand and it was lovely. They have an amazing aesthetic. The service was great and the food was full of flavor!

AMAZING...I can't say enough about how much i was impressed with this restaurant from the food to the staff it was an amazing experience on my wedding anniversary! Complimentary champagne and dessert was a great touch to a great evening thank you Proxi!!
