- JJamieCentral Kentucky •11 reviews4.0Dined 2 days agoWe booked an igloo for 11 people. It was nice in that we had a private space for our family get together but I was expecting the kind that we could see through. Even though we were on the rooftop with a lovely city view, you could not see out from the igloo so was kind of pointless. And door to igloo could only be latched from the outside so you couldn't leave to use the bathroom because then you couldn't latch the door once you returned. And it was too cold to leave the door open and they had one pitiful space heater. However we did enjoy our food and drinks. Server was initially overwhelmed but then food and drinks started coming steadily. We enjoyed all of the appetizers (meatballs, potato wedges, shrimp and artichoke dip). Entree salads were also good. Family had burger sliders and they were tasty. Note: pizzas are quite large. They are definitely shareable. We'll come back in warmer weather to enjoy the rooftop but wouldn't recommend the igloos unless it's a particularly warm night.More info8Up Elevated Drinkery + KitchenPrice: Expensive• American• West Louisville•3.2

The maitre d’ recognized our request for a bourbon tasting with dinner and made sure to seat us at a table in Ross’s section. Ross was a delight. Funny, efficient, and knowledgeable with the menu and especially the bourbon. After asking us questions on type, style, price, he created a tasting that was perfect beginning to end. I am going to dream about my halibut main course and my husband raved about the Caesar salad. We will definitely be back when we come to town.More infoBrendon's Catch 23Price: Very Expensive• Seafood• Downtown Louisville•4.9

- RRomanCentral Kentucky •2 reviews5.0Dined 3 days agoUpon arrival we had a friend cancel on us. There was an elderly couple who had just by chance walked in hoping to get a table for dinner. I overheard the conversation and I immediately wanted to give them my reserved table as my other friend expressed interest in us sitting at the bar. The Host was surprised by my gesture as were the couple. They rushed them to their table and we took our seats at the bar. We ordered our drinks which came up promptly and then we ordered our food. A little later we were informed that they had lost internet and that there will be slight delay in our food as they had to manually submit their tickets. Luckily for us, we weren't on a time crunch and ordered a second martini. Our Calamari arrived shortly afterwards and was cooked to crispy perfection. Then our entrées came out and as expected it was all DELICIOUS! Perfecly cooked Filet, Tuna Crudo, Broccolini & The Lobster Mac & Cheese. Not only was the service great but our Bartender was a joy to interact with. She displayed a great wealth of knowledge & professionalism yet was very sociable when discussing a couple of topics. Overall, this was a great night!More infoMonk's Road Boiler HousePrice: Very Expensive• Steakhouse• Downtown Louisville•4.6
- RRichardChicago / Illinois •7 reviews5.0Dined 3 days agoOutstanding place to dine. Food was superbly prepared. Our waiter, Richard was attentive, friendly, and professional. I thought it was quite interesting how much the waitresses and waiters helped each other. The ambience was most enjoyable with low lighting, candles, old brick and wood. I did give it 4 instead of 5 stars, for value as it is on the expensive site, but well worth it especially for special occasions.
