- TTrinhHouston •11 reviews4.0Dined 6 days agoLoved Lucille's so was very excited to try this place out. Cute restaurant with more space outside for seating than inside. Parking out in front is free for the first 3h (or so the sign says). We used rideshare here. It was a very windy day, so we opted for inside seating. Mind you, this was an altacocker dinner, very early service, so there was not a lot of people in the restaurant. Plus, it was a weekday. Staff professional and efficient. Our waiter was sweet, but for a higher end restaurant, would expect a bit more knowledge re the type of meat served and cost of the market price items. Mixed drinks were great. The sazerac was quite strong. We had the octopus which was flavorful, but a bit overcooked and a tad rubbery. Roasted squash was yummy. The friend chicken was hot and juicy, but the honey was a bit too sweet for me. Some may like the sweet/salty contrast, but a bit too sweet for my taste buds. The LA seafood was also well seasoned, but the shrimp was overcooked. Clams and mussels were well cooked, however. For the price tag and hype (from Lucille's), I guess I expected more. But everyone has an off day so will give it another go.More infoLate AugustPrice: Expensive• American• Midtown•4.7
