Open seven days a week for lunch and dinner, Amalfi Cucina & Mercato - Downtown Atlanta is a traditional Neapolitan trattoria centered around an open kitchen featuring a 6,000 pound wood-burning brick oven imported from Italy. The 170 seat dining room also has large semicircular booths, custom wrought iron chandeliers along with Juliet balconies overlooking an Italian-inspired entryway. Originating in and the true pizza of Naples in the 1600s, Vera Pizza Napoletana is 12 inches or less in size, made from simple fresh quality ingredients from the Campania region of Italy and cooked at temperatures in excess of 900 degrees in approximately 60 seconds. Just launched, a new menu which includes many fresh pastas, salads, appetizers and desserts, including beautiful imported gelato.     We dine at Rays in the city anytime we’re in town for a convention. The food and service are always wonderful. Their seafood is the best, IMO. Calamari is to die for and although they charge for the bread basket now, you must have it. So good!

    The combination of beautiful ambiance, amazing food, and reasonable prices has made this my favorite Italian place ever. I will never make another trip to ATL without making sure I stop in.

    Went to celebrate a birthday. Had a great table next to the window (it got a little chilly to be honest) and it was beautiful to look out on the light. I can imagine that it will be gorgeous when the holiday lighting is installed in the shopping center. Regarding the food, we took forever to decide because we wanted every single one of the meat and fish offerings. We settled on the NY Strip for 2. Medium rare was perfect - added the hugest slab of butter I've ever seen in my life. Sides of roasted carrots and roasted new potatoes were delicious. Salads were delicious. We left Not One Morsel of food on our plates. We will return soon.

    Understaffed. Attended to by bartender. She was attentive and efficient. The restaurant had a DJ and we chose to sit in the sun room at the big table for 7ppl. We shut then doors to the bar to allow conversation. The food was well priced and comfortable;e portions. Then tomato ricotta salad was wonderful. Nice variety of a menu for everyone. We brought a bottle of wine which was gladly uncorked. Dessert was peach cobbler.
