Located at the old Michael Jordan's location, this is a great place to meet and eat. We had tremendous service from entry to exit. Jose was our server and he was great. Drinks were precision made and enjoyable. The meat offerings range from top tier steaks to an delicious take on a Big Mac (a happy hour special). We tried two types of oysters (also a happy hour bargain) that were so good we ordered a second round (charcoal oysters should not be missed). All in all a great time at a great place.More infoHawksmoor ChicagoPrice: Moderate• Steakhouse• River North (Chicago)•4.5
- JJeffreyVIPChicago / Illinois •16 reviews5.0Dined 5 days agoWe have been dining at Mon Ami Gabi for decades. We think they lost their footing a bit post-pandemic, but on our last visits, we have felt reassured that they're back on their game. We were greeted by name by the host/manager . We then had a delicious meal, expert and friendly service and the room had a pleasant vibe. Our only issue was with the 3.5% surcharge on the bill (which we asked to have removed). We have no issue with these kinds of charges at smaller, independent restaurants. But with large corporate chains like Lettuce Entertain You, we find them problematic. We would rather give more to the team who was servicing our table. Even so, we look forward to returning.More infoMon Ami GabiPrice: Moderate• French• Lincoln Park•4.8

- NNancyVIPChicago / Illinois •61 reviews5.0Dined on Feb 13, 2025What a treat to rediscover RL after moving from Chicago a few years ago! On a bitter cold and snowy day, we decided on a last minute late lunch and had a marvelous meal. Our server, Amanda was outstanding, personable and enthusiastically answered my husband's questions about the walleye, which he throughly enjoyed. It was light and flavorful and deemed as good as (though he meant better) than the shore lunches he had while fishing in Canada. I enjoyed the off the menu special crab cake that was sumptuous and delicious to the last bite....better than the ordinary restaurant fare. Though we usually like to read the dessert menu and then pass so we can smugly congratulate ourselves on our willpower, we gave in this day when Amanda told us about the peanut butter cheesecake-like texture presented as a small cake shape and drizzled with chocolate. Boy if there was ever a time to deviate from our cautious approach to desserts, this was it! This was how do they describe it, "smack your mama good?" That was it. So good we talked about it on our way back home to Michigan...the entire visit this time renewed our love for Chicago and the little moments like this that mean so much. A great way to spend some time during a classic urban winter snow storm. Thank you Amanda and the talented RL chef!More infoRL RestaurantPrice: Expensive• American• Gold Coast / Streeterville•4.8
