Best Restaurants for Anniversaries in Potomac

Excellent lunch,as a group of five of us, enjoyed a Christmas tradition of meeting here for our annual get together. Always decorated beautifully. Service is impeccable and food is outstanding. The atmosphere is relaxing and you truly experience a lovely afternoon at one of the best French restaurants in this area!!

We are "regulars" at Clyde's Tower Oaks Lodge. We like the variety on the menu and quality of the food, the really excellent service, and the ambiance especially in "The Great Room' which is an authentic Adirondack lodge moved to Maryland. Favorites on the menu include the Icelandic Cod, the Chicken #1 Sandwich, burgers, and their chili (which combined with a side salad is a full meal). Rotating items on the menu which are also great include the French dip sandwich, anything with crabmeat, and various tacos. Their take on a cob salad (linear instead of round) is delicious.

We've been dining here for many years, starting when they were downtown in DC. Simply wonderful experience every time. We especially love the Brasserie which is more informal but has a delightful menu. Last night the lobster thermidor was perfectly done and beautifully presented, and the tenderloin medallions also perfect. The Brasserie has a very nice selection of wines by the glass. Another great evening!

This IS a splurge spot❣️ & if you like “Pittsburgh”style steak (crusty outside & rare/med-rare inside) the Capital Grille (& maybe one other “DC” steakhouse) has the kitchen equipment to get 🔥hot enough to accomplish the amazing meat feat. The Greeting, the Food AND The Service all sensational. Our waiter, Cody, was integral to a brilliant evening: professional, pleasant, helpful and attentive — without being intrusive 🏆 Thank you for another memorable evening 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
