Best Restaurants for Birthdays in Glencoe

The cook was no fun. Didn’t want to talk when asked questions. The cook just wanted to cook and get his job done. The waitress was trying to rush us out the door. It seems like she didn’t like that we were Mexican and there were only three of us to serve. This was one of the worst experiences I had with the service at the restaurant. The food was great.

Wildfire rarely disappoints. This time our waitstaff, Mary M, went above and beyond to make it a wonderful experience! She was so attentive, without being pushy. She was friendly and always had a smile on her face. The restaurant was really busy (with the holidays) and she was always available. The food was cooked perfectly and a good time was had by all of us. Thank you Mary!

Always a pleasure and a treat to dine at Bluegrass. The hosts are so gracious, the food is always delicious, and the service is excellent. Our favorite dishes are the orange chicken and the smoked chicken which is a Tuesday night special. The latter is served with the most scrumptious corn pudding. Our friend had the tilapia which she really enjoyed. You can't go wrong with any menu choice there.

The food is always great at Avli. It was very busy and the noise levels were quite high but bearable. Maybe they could play some music to drown out some of the chatter. We had the hummus and eggplant spread. Both were great. Big portions. We also had the mini chicken skewers which were delicious, and the meatballs. They were quite good although the tomato sauce on top was quite tart and tasted a bit like tomato paste. My husband liked it more than me. For dessert we had the orange pie which is actually orange cake. It is delicious. We also tried the cheesecake and chocolate filo sampler. Both were very good. We love Juan who has been our server in the past. Very attentive and friendly.

We entertained friends last night. The food, service, and vibe were great. Kent, our server was excellent. Managers, Brian and Patrick made certain the evening was enjoyable.
