Best Restaurants for Birthdays in 39th St / Westport / Midtown

Eddie V's continues to have excellent food across the board, but it is very pricey (expect ~$100 a person before tax and tip for dinner and drinks). However, the staff, ambiance, food and drinks are all top-notch. Great wine menu but no beers on tap if that's your thing. Our waiter recommended the seabass with a side of the crab fried rice and it was outstanding. Also would highly recommend the lemon tart.

Fantastic experience!! Due to a change of plans, we arrived about an hour early for our reservation on Christmas Eve and they were kind enough to accommodate us right away. I also want to mention that we originally booked a standard table but the high top was even better for the views and ambiance. We sat right in front of the most beautiful mahogany bar and got to watch the bartenders climb up and down the super high ladder. The food was all exceptional but the baked pimento cheese tray was to die for. The fresh baked sourdough bread was also phenomenal. We had mostly seafood and everything was delicious.

This has long been one of our favorite places for family gatherings, and this one was no disappointment. Food is great, and the ambience is always lively.

Wonderful night on the plaza, it was Christmas Eve, the afternoon crowd was perfectly controlled.

Everything about our experience was phenomenal. Our server, Bob, was fantastic. The drinks were amazing. They were aesthetically pleasing and tasty. 11/10.
