In the Royal Lancaster Hotel, the Nipa Thai restaurant has been named after the original Nipa Restaurant in the Landmark Hotel in Bangkok. Lots of teak panelling, traditional Thai furnishings and artefacts lend an authentic air. All the staff dressed in traditional Thai costume are from Thailand - even the lady chefs. This authentic Thai restaurant is one of the first 15 recipients of the 'Thai Select' award - this award has been described as being the first ever Michelin-style award for Thai restaurants proven to be performing to the highest standards of quality and cuisine, and is awarded by the Thai Government.     It was our wedding anniversary. We booked in advance which you must as it do gets very busy. We were in the Paddington area an hour before our 8.45 booking so we told them as we passed and they did call us as soon as a table was free. Which was a nice gesture from them. Then we were also given a glass of bubbly each and we felt very special. One of the other guests also bought us a drink as he’d noticed the fuss and it was just wonderful. We were very well taken care of by 2 people in particular. Alfredo and Fabrizio were brilliant, attentive and so friendly. The food was also spectacular and all our dishes were amazing. Thank you so much for a beautiful evening. X

    From the moment we arrived until the last sip of tea, this was an excellent experience. The food was delicious and the staff were incredible friendly and knowledgable. The waitstaff went the extra mile to ensure we had a lovely experience. Special mention to Anth who's attention to detail and enthusiasm were incredible and took our experience to the next level. I will definitely be back!
