Best Restaurants for Birthdays in Pompano Beach

Always a great meal at Sea Watch! It was Valentine’s weekend, so we knew they’d be busy. Everything was served with little delay. Three of us enjoyed the scallops while the fourth had the Seafood Mixed Grill. Nice wine list, too. Prices are fair, and we (almost) always have leftovers to take home!

First time at Mastros and what can I say? Firstly, and most importantly, the attention was excellent. Not too intrusive and just enough to attend to your needs. At times we did have to wait for a second, but I attribute that to the busy Valentine's Day rush. Secondly, the atmosphere, was lovely. For those who want you're more lively setting I would recommend the indoor/bar/lounge areas.  for quite an intimate setting, you'd want to sit outside. Speaking of outside - absolutely love the inter coastal view! Last but at least, the food! We had the Branzino, the truffle mushroom gnocchi, and spinach. Then we topped it off with the "piece de resistance," the butter cake! The plating and the flavor were incredible! I was lucky enough to score a table for the Valentine's Day and I can definitely say I'll be a repeat customer! 

We were seated quicking and had a reservation. Beautiful waterfront dining on the intercoastal waterway. Our server Ashley was excellent, friendly and very attentive. We were not rushed although the place filled up quickly. Ordered the sushi as an appy then went with their their fresh fish entrees. truely fresh and delicious. Portions were generous. For dessert we had the cheescake and the 5 layer chocolate cake. We were told all desserts were baked on premises by their pastry chef and it showed. The chocolate cake was HUGE for $ 14 no way to even attempt to finish it. If I had to pick on one item, not their fault, the sunset was blocked by a high building acroos the waterway.

ALWAYS THE BEST, YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR. STEVE PUTS OUT QUALITY FOOD YOU CANNOT GET ANYWHERE ELSE. YES IT CAN GET A LITTLE LOUD, THE SERVERS CAN RUSH YOU OUT AFTER TWO HOURS, AND IT IS A LITTLE EXPENSIVE. BUT REMEMBER ONE THING AND ONE THING ONLY, IT’S ABOUT THE FOOD STUPID, IT’S ABOUT THE FOOD!

This beautiful little Italian restaurant was a lucky choice for us. We were greeted right away by a very personable waiter, and throughout our meal no service was overlooked or tardy. My friend and I both ordered the salmon with a lemon and caper sauce, the beet salad and a glass of their house Cabernet. The beet salad was a beautiful presentation of thinly sliced beat slices encircling a large plate and in the middle a little mound of arugula with some walnuts, sweet sections of orange, some dollops of Burrata cheese and the most delightful vinaigrette. After enjoying our salad, some bread from the bread basket, and a few sips of our Cabernet, the salmon arrived. The accompaniments were delicious, but the star of the show was the salmon. I believe it was poached, and with the lemon caper sauce was the most tender and flavorful salmon I've ever had! The portion size was very generous, and we both had a hard time finishing it. We were pressed for time so we didn't have an opportunity to select from their scrumptious dessert cart.  On the way home my friend and I couldn't stop talking about what a great dinner we had! So I would encourage you that if you are looking for a truly wonderful dining experience, that you definitely consider La Perla restaurant.
