Best Restaurants for Birthdays in San Antonio

First and foremost this was our first trip to San Antonio, we know nothing of the area or what is good or not. Thanks to Google reviews we chose this wonderful place for our girl trip bday dinner. From the moment we walked in, we felt the warmth and wonderful service this place delivered. Our wonderful server Blake went over the top to make sure we had the right wine, the best appetizer and made sure our dinners were served with love. We had the fillet, or should I say BUTTER…..you could cut that meat with a fork it was the best fillet I have ever had. We made sure to have Blake tell the chef that we were impressed and he came out to thank us. Chef Allen explained where the meat came from and how they make it daily. His love for his job shows in the food he prepares. Not only did they deliver wonderful service but they brought us a dessert sampler that blew our minds and our taste buds. John the wine sommelier was a wonderful ending to our meal as he brought us out a dessert wine from Hungry and it was just the right drink to help end our night. Leaving this place was like leaving a second home you don’t want to leave. Our weekend was wonderful here in San Antonio, but it was made even more spectacular with this wonderful restaurant. Drinks ordered: 1. Paloma- delicious 2. Sierra Madre- tangy, sweet and fruity! 3. Santa Lucia shots- Strong, sweet and yummy! 4. Matacanes- tasted like a passion fruit lemonade, my favorite!! Food ordered: Apps- 1. Queso fundido- our favorite app of the night. So much flavor and cheese! 2. Volcanes de Arrachera- a great plate to share with the table! My favorite part was the crispy meat and spicy salsa! Main tabla- 1. We originally ordered the sirloin, but they were out so we upgraded to a ribeye-medium rare and we have no regrets! It was cooked perfectly! 2. Sides: Papa Asada, came with butter and cheese, choice to add meat. It was the perfect side, so filling but not too heavy. Second side: Jalapeño poppers, I only wish it was cooked a little bit more, too crunchy for my preference. Overall, the price was with everything we got! It was affordable, filling and sooooo delicious! There was live music so it was a great atmosphere. I will likely do another birthday/anniversary dinner here!

Exceptional experience. I’m horrible with names and forgot our waiters name—he was a mature gentleman and was very knowledgeable, experienced, and extremely attentive. The food was great, ambience was nice, and the cucumber martinis were on point. It was well worth the price paid.

Went with my wife for Valentine's dinner. She started with seafood bisque which she said was possibly the best she's had. We had 8 oz filet and ribeye for our entrée. Both were cooked perfectly, flavorful and excellent quality steaks. I recommend the scallop potatoes as the side. Finished with sharing the warm brownie and coffee. Myrons has been our Valentine's tradition since we moved here 4 years ago, and they never disappoint.

We had such a good experience last year on Valentines Day that we made reservations again this year. The place was absolutely slammed, and we had a bit of a wait even with reservations. But the people at the host stand were great, even handing out glasses of champagne to those who were waiting. We got a booth in the bar (our favorite area) and were served by Austin, our favorite server. We shared a caesar salad, filet and lobster and a bottle of Sea Sun Pinot noir. Everything was so good! A really enjoyable experience.
