Best Restaurants for Birthdays in Shaker Heights

It was Christmas Eve so that may have played into the food. My daughter and I had filet mignon med rare and the meat was done well. Unfortunately, the cheesy scalloped potatoes were a bit on the undercooked, crunchy side. My husband had scallops of which there 5 and nicely seared. Again, his risotto was not cooked well and crunchy. For appetizers we had calamari which were delicious, a bowl of French onion soup and a beet/orange salad which were all good. The salad was large so we all essentially split it. Overall, very good service and great ambiance. Will try it again.

Our waiter was a young man, home from college and working at the restaurant. He was delightful and made sure we were well taken care of. A lovely dinner, the best clam pasta I've ever eaten and fabulous cannolli!

The service, food and ambience were five star. We had a wonderful dinner and were treated top-notch. Will definitely be back

It was my wife's birthday (12/18/24) so to try something new we drove 1½hr to try the Haunted House Restaurant Well worth it! We had an awesome experience. Food was delicious and at a reasonable price. I had the Texas Chainsaw burger and fries while she had the Shaggy which was 2 black waffles with banana pudding and caramel sauce. Everything on the menu is named after a horror movie or Halloween related. You can look online for their menu. The decor was done in everything Horror movie related also. Pennywise, Chucky, Christmas Nightmare etc. Michael Myers was there also. At first I thought he was a statue but once he moved...scared the $#@& out of me! He does his role VERY WELL! The waitress and him even did a little birthday dance for the wife 😆 We had reservations for 4pm. We arrived exactly at 4pm and was walked to our table. After our waitress took our order it was only about 15-20 mins for our food to arrive. Parking wasn't an issue...we parked across the street at the Family Dollar store since we went there before the restaurant. We had a great time and will be back! Definitely would recommend!
