34 is Chef Emeril Lagasse’s first restaurant dedicated to the cuisine of his Portuguese heritage. He was inspired by his late mother, Hilda, who influenced his interest in cooking when he was a child growing up in Fall River, MA. The 245-seat restaurant is adorned in shades of green – Emeril’s signature color – wood accents and ornate Portuguese tiles. A painting of a rooster, a national Portuguese symbol of good luck, greets guests at the entrance. The food and service were great, just a bit noisy, as expected, with many celebrating. The food format, small plate tapas now, changed since our last visit a year ago, we are from out of town, but still plenty to share. Highly recommended!

Food was excellent! We got the Parker Bread (MUST), Mardi Gras Shrimp (so yummy!), Surf and Turf Roll, Filet, Ribeye, Seafood Mac and Cheese (wouldn’t get again), Broccolini (wouldn’t get again), and PB&J Bread Pudding. We heard the garlic mashed potatoes are amazing so we would try those as a side next time! It is definitely a great experience you don’t want to miss out on! Some of the best steaks we have had out and the bread and butter is something I’ll be talking about forever!

Jordon is an outstanding server. So attentive, watching us and making sure we had what we needed without being annoying. All five of us thought we had the best meal. Tasty dishes! We were entertaining out of town guests and were proud of the experience. Thank you!

My steak was fantastic! I got the strip. My wife got the duck, which was good, but when she tried my steak with the creole butter she wanted to trade. It’s a steakhouse, get steak lol. Our server Reba was excellent and so kind. We are new to the neighborhood and she was so helpful. Great steakhouse with a creole flair.
