Best Restaurants for Birthdays in Waukesha

Servers were great! Explained specials. But I have to say I was just not that impressed with the NY steak I ordered. The steak was cooked properly at medium but had a dryness to it & actually not that much flavor without the Bearnaise sauce. I guess I am just spoiled because we use to go to the former Jackson Grill where the steaks were outstanding. Not sure what they did to their steaks but we have never found one as tasty. My husband had the crab cake & fillet and the crab cake was delish but he also found his fillet cooked properly but with not much flavor without the sauce.

Our server was fantastic, very patient with us as we were catching up with family. Order was perfect, came in a timely manner and was prepared correctly. We really enjoyed our lunch!

The dinner we had was fantastic, although our meals arrived just after the appetizers and we still didn’t get our wine yet. The server and manager quickly compensated us for this inconvenience and were very apologetic. Things happen, so pleased they accepted the issue and addressed it! Amazing service will definitely be back!

Our server was exceptional though we did have to wait a bit between our calamari and soup, and then to get our entree took a while, but it was Christmas Eve and they were busy so it was understandable. The food was delicious but we ordered our steak medium rare and they were well done- the waitress brought it to the manager’s attention and he definitely agreed with us that they were over done and asked us what he could do to make it right. We said we were just glad that he addressed the situation with us-that was enough as far as we were concerned. Later the waitress came over and told us that the manager would like us to have dessert on him, and we thought that was very nice. I had the dark chocolate butter cake and my sister had the crème brûlée- both were delicious and much appreciated. Treatment like this by the waitress, staff and manager is the reason we will keep coming back to Mitchell’s fish market and of course, the delicious food. They make you feel cared for here. More places should be like this restaurant! Go- you won’t be disappointed!

Quality and Consistency is an expectation of all Bartolotta and The Commodore checks the box’s for all of those. The setting on Lake Nagawicka is the bow on top. Our daughter’s wedding reception will be there next year and we are so excited to know that every detail will be covered.
