Friendly and engaging but not intrusive. Knew the menu like the back of his hand! We are Las Vegas locals, on a mission to try new places. Ended up with a reservation here on Valentine’s Day because Redwood was one of the few places that wasn’t fully booked and wasn’t going to be a $500 meal. Never had we stepped foot in the California Hotel casino or this restaurant. We’ve both been here a long time and never gone. Pleasantly surprised that the noise level the cleanliness and all around everything about this place. Valet was $30 but as an emerald card holder with Boyd gaming it was free for us. I had the seafood cioppino and my husband had the 12 ounce lobster tail. Market price on that was like $65 and my soup was 46 I think. It was loaded with seafood, and I had no regrets about spending that kind of price on a bowl of soup. It was really good. Our reservation was for 7:15 PM on Valentine’s Day and we were seated immediately. We did not have to wait a long time for our food. I have heard it said that you can judge a steakhouse by their creamed corn. I, personally hate creamed corn, and I was literally scraping Every last bite of it out of the dish came in. Hands-down, I recommend it and we will definitely go back. More infoRedwood SteakhousePrice: Very Expensive• Steakhouse• California Hotel & Casino•4.8
- MMarilynWisconsin •5 reviews5.0Dined 2 days agoOur party of 4 was outside on the patio for Valentine’s Day. While it was a little chilly at first the staff was nice and brought heaters for us. Unfortunately a windstorm hit and wouldn’t let up and that affected our dinner service and it’s hard to rush food of that quality and wine. The staff did their best with the circumstances that arose. While it created a memorable dinner, it was too rushed and everything was ice cold.More infoOscar's Steakhouse at the Plaza Hotel & CasinoPrice: Expensive• Steakhouse• Plaza•4.7
- AAprilLos Angeles •3 reviews5.0Dined 6 days agoThis was our first time at the Golden Steer. There were six in our party and we all had a great time. From the greeting from the hostess to our wait staff, we were greeted with smile and a no problem attitude. The table side Caesar salad was absolutely delicous and my filet mignon was cooked to perfection. And I cannot rave enough on how delicous the special mac and cheese was and I am not a fan of mac and cheese but this changed my mind. The kahlua creme brulee was the best way to end our meal. I highly recommend the Golden Steer for food and service. AprilMore infoGolden Steer SteakhousePrice: Moderate• Steakhouse• Near the Strip•4.8
