We sat in the little dining room off to the left arm of the host check in area. The ambience was very romantic. We were a small group, and enjoyed very much The appetizer of the sausage with the eggplant. Two of us had the cioppino, which I can highly recommend. One guest had the lasagna which he said was absolutely excellent I have been waiting for three trips to New Orleans to finally get a reservation to get in Irene’s, and now I see what all the fuss is about. Don’t miss it.More infoIrene'sPrice: Expensive• Italian• French Quarter•4.9
- CChristopherVIPNew Orleans / Louisiana •86 reviews5.0Dined 3 days agoWe are locals and regulars and we had another great dining experience at Meril: Martini and Old Fashioned excellently-crafted cocktails, shared Tuna Wraps, Red Snapper and Ribeye entrees, with sides of Mexican Corn and Gen Tsos Broccoli, and complemented by glasses of Rioja. As always, the team service was attentive and efficient, and seating hostesses were friendly and professional. Meril has the whole package, a great Warehouse District bistro.More infoMerilPrice: Moderate• Contemporary American• Warehouse District•4.5
- DdonnaWashington, D.C. Area •2 reviews5.0Dined 3 days agoMr B's was, overall, the perfect way to end a good week full of good food in NOLA. The braised short rib dinner was very good. The bacon- wrapped shrimp and grits dish was one of the best renditions of that dish we've ever had, and we have sampled many. The Gallette de Roi (king cake) was fabulous, and, as a bonus, it wasn't covered with the bizarre -- and to me, off-putting -- purple, green and gold colors that the store bought ones have. Finally, our server, Rasheed, turned a great meal into an overall superb evening. He was efficient and helpful without being intrusive, very personable to talk to, and he provided thoughtful insights as we asked about some of the dishes and how they might appeal to our preferences. He was extremely professional, and yet he felt like a friend by the time we left. (If the management is reading this, you need to hold on to this guy with both hands. Give him a promotion and a big raise to ensure no one else snaps him up.) We'll definitely go back to Mr. Bs the next time we're in New Orleans.More infoMr. B's BistroPrice: Expensive• Creole• French Quarter•4.7
