Best Comfort Food Restaurants in Washington Park

Yummy original menu. Hubby had skirt steak with chimichurri sauce and I had arugula salad with grilled pears and blackened chicken. Wait staff was excellent - quick, personable and knowledgeable. Go!

Everything was amazing. This was our second time here. The server is always so nice, but definitely seems overwhelmed with tables, as he did on our first visit as well. There was no proper spiel as we were greeted, just a what can I get you to drink..: I asked about any specials or drink specials and the server handed me the table tent sitting directly in front of me. As I had read it I had already read it as I waited for him to greet us. I was hoping to hear something other than read and flip through pages on a table tent. On my reservations I indicated we had a birthday. As the night came to an end, I realized that nothing was being done so I had to verbally request a birthday cake, as I didn’t want to do and is the reason I added it to my reservations. The live music is such a vibe and we enjoyed it a lot, I would suggest adjusting volume to fit the guest count as the music was a bit too loud for the number of guest in house. We did not see any manager walk around and touch any tables. Lastly, Food was delicious and we will definitely be back. God job!

Batch , thank you so much for the A+++ service and experience with our Thanksgiving order this year. Since we w weren’t having a large gathering we decided to order from one of our favorite spots to Brunch at and you guys did not disappoint! Pick up was extremely organized and our order was ready, warm, and fresh at the time we scheduled for pickup. I had the pleasure of meeting one of Batch FTL owners Kevin whose personality was bright and vibrant. He assisted with bringing the order out to my car. We also want to provide kudos to the entire staff at Batch FTL , particularly the Manager Carlos and Jaz their chef. Not only did they work hard getting the food ready for over 500 people’s to-go orders, the were also preparing to serve a minimum of 300 people for in store dining on Thanksgiving. The food was amazing !

The Food was exceptional. The top 2 dishes at our table: Wednesday night Lasagna and the incredible unique chicken Parmigiano. The service was very good but food took a bit long to get to table (but the place was totally packed and buzzing - noise level was off the chart inside - outside was full but not as loud). Overall would highly recommend this place - we'll go back again for sure.

Pork belly bites and the carbonara are great. the shrimp and grits were outstanding.
