Best Comfort Food Restaurants in Northwest Houston

this was our first time here, the food, service and atmosphere were great! we will definitely put this one on our regular rotation for dinner. the GM came by several times to check on us, very nice and not obtrusive.

our server was amazing! i can’t exactly remember his name, but he was the tall guy with the ponytail. excellent service & made sure we were accommodated for the wait on valentines day even though the crowd was to be expected. the valentines day dinner for 2 was well worth the price for the amount of food we received & the dessert was delicious. will definitely be back😊

While the food itself didn’t quite live up to the $75 price tag—perhaps more deserving of a $50 valuation—the overall experience was truly memorable. The service was exceptional; our server was attentive, friendly, and made sure we had everything we needed throughout our meal. Additionally, the ambiance for Valentine’s Day was perfect, with soft lighting, romantic decorations, and a lovely atmosphere that made the evening feel special for both myself and my wife. It was a delightful night despite the food not fully meeting our expectations.

The old cliché “momma’s home cooking “, well this is Down Home Southern Cooking, Grandma’s House, chicken fried steak ( don’t need a knife just a fork), fried catfish & shrimp with shut dogs ( hush puppies)for those not from the south, just like Grandma used to make. Wow and the manger made you feel as if you were the most welcome and important person in the Restaurant, the staff friendly, caring and accommodating.👍👍👍👍👍

I ordered the Denver Roast and it was much better than expected. The roast was tender and seasoned to perfection. The mashed potatoes and carrots were delicious as well. The Tres Leches for dessert was 10/10. For my first cocktail I ordered a lemon drop. I drank it but it was not to my liking so for my second cocktail I ordered a pomegranate mule. I drank that one as well but would not order either of them again.
