Taking hospitality back to its roots with a warm welcome from our genuinely friendly team breathing new life back into the heart of the community. The menu will offer daily, hyper-seasonal specials, and plenty of British game, meat and fish. Executive chef and owner, Jamie Dobbin is passionate about local sourcing and traditional dishes, such as Half dozen Porthilly rock oysters with shallot dressing, Brixham King scallops with burnt butter cauliflower and caviar or Portland hogget Shepherd’s pie with grilled cutlet. Serious meat lovers can expect 45 day aged native and rare breed steak on offer as well as a hero dish of Beef Wellington for two. Fish is of course wild, sustainable, and British, sourced from day boats on the South coast with the daily catch delivered straight to the door in a matter of hours. A very pleasant meal here today. Polite service and delivery of food to our table was spot on. Meal sizes are large. Next time I’ll pass on starters and head straight to mains, but will keep the cocktails flowing nicely. A very happy family and can’t wait to return.

First visit, very impressed. The ambience was exemplary as were the staff, the details were noted, from offering to take out coats on arrival, seating us at the bar, taking our drinks to the table and table service was spot on. I think the bar was my favourite! The food was perfect and the evening was finished with a salted caramel espresso martini 🍸 Thank you to everyone, the whole team who worked fantastically together, wonderful.
