We’re a chef’s playground of fresh coastal cuisine with a wood-fired grill and Buckhead’s best cocktails - all centered around our charming garden courtyard. We feature raw oysters, fresh seafood and local "craft" foods made with passion by our culinary team. Our menu changes frequently, but fan favorites include our lobster roll and the wood fired branzino. Our cocktails mirror this fresh take and are the perfect compliment to our coastal cuisine. Come down to our corner that's tucked away in the Shops Around Lenox. We offer a charming garden courtyard complete with fire pit as well as indoor dining options. The restaurant’s unique name comes from an extended essay by English art critic John Ruskin. The "lamps" refer to the seven principles of architecture: sacrifice, truth, power, beauty, life, memory and obedience.

I was really excited to dine at a Michelin restaurant for the first time. I picked this restaurant based on its reviews around being accommodating for restricted diets. After I asked about dietary needs, the server remembered the notations about celiac disease and dairy allergies in the reservation. I was disappointed none of the entrees were suitable for celiac disease even though they mirrored GF appetizers. When the food started to arrive, part of one guest’s order was incorrect and had to be reordered, and my entree order - the lamb - was never placed. Once it did come, it was over seasoned and over cooked. I also find it odd at a Michelin restaurant that the dessert menu only has a single, very basic, allergy-friendly option- sorbet. Also surprised there was an auto gratuity for 5 people. Otherwise the sushi and sashimi and cocktails were top notch. $700 for 5 people, should have stuck with only fish.

The Alden has an intimate setting which is perfect for a special night out or a culinary adventure. I was celebrating my best friend’s birthday and the staff were genuinely friendly and attentive, making the entire experience feel personal and welcoming. I’m no food critic, but I can recognize fresh, high-quality ingredients, and Chef Jared and his team delivered that in every dish—10/10. Sitting at the counter was the highlight; it’s the best seat in the house. You get to watch the chefs in action, adding a layer of entertainment to the evening. Each course was perfectly timed, creating a seamless dining experience. The combinations of ingredients and pairings were nothing short of fantastic. Some dishes featured bold and unexpected flavors that worked together beautifully. The quail and scallops were my favorites—flawlessly executed and deeply satisfying. I also appreciated the global influences woven into the menu, which made each dish feel like a small journey. And let’s not overlook the fact that Chef Jared is as talented as he is handsome—a fun bonus to an already unforgettable meal. They gave us a birthday treat to top it all off. I can’t wait to go back to experience other dishes.
