We were booked for Sunday lunch but they only do it once a month on the 1st Sunday, the manager booked us in for January and offered us a free lunch in the bar area. Lunch was good the burger was excellent but the steak pie was just ok the gravy was very watery. The staff were very attentive and friendly, even though the bar area was very busy. Earlier than planned but suited us as we were cold and almost done at the castle. We headed down and were greeted with a warm welcome. Drinks and food were superb. Service was friendly and relaxed. Atmosphere was calm and not too noisey. Allergies were catered for with no fuss. We all really enjoyed our meal. Will definitely be back.
