We made a reservation well in advance and asked to be seated in the "rear area" separated from the bar area -- which is usually quieter. We eat there about 2-3 times each year, for apecial occasions like a birthday, anniversary, etc. The food is always excellent They had their full menu available on Valentines Day, with a couple of special items added. Our waiter was very attentive without hovering -and was very friendly. We went with the 4-course tasting menu. We highly recommend the beet salad and the egg raviolo for the first two courses. The homemade pastas are also great. With one quartino of white wine and iced tea, our total for the evening was about $215 a couple of "upgrades" in the tasting menu and including tip. It's a bit of a pricy place, but well worth it for a treat!More infoAceroPrice: Expensive• Italian• Maplewood•4.9
- DDonaldSt. Louis •10 reviews5.0Dined 5 days agoThe Crossing continues to be an excellent choice for fine dining in St. Louis. The food and service are excellent. The night we were there it was somewhat noisier than past visits due to several large tables of men some of whom spoke and laughed loudly throughout the evening. When they left it was pleasant. I think the British are right when they say Americans do not know how to speak quietly at the dinner table.More infoThe CrossingPrice: Very Expensive• French• Clayton•4.9

- JJohnSt. Louis •1 review5.0Dined 7 days agoService was excellent, I think her name was Cailan, but I am hard of hearing. Food was great, my wife’s input was the best she has had in years. Even though I am hard of hearing, I was able to successfully use my hearing aids and was therefore able to enjoy my Birthday dinner with my wife and our friends. Great evening all the way around, this place is a gem! And the staff, they make it special!!More infoFrazer's Restaurant & LoungePrice: Moderate• American• Soulard / Benton Park•4.7
