We are reopening 25 February 2025 with our new students. The Apprentice Restaurant Sydney is a TAFE NSW licensed training restaurant. Lunch 12pm to 2pm: three courses (entrée, main & dessert) for $44 or you can select any two courses for $39. Dinner 6pm to 8:30pm: three course menu for $44. (Our prices are excluding beverages). Group beverage packages are available to pre-purchase for the whole group.Our meals are usually served Table d’hôte (alternate drop) and portions are limited.Bookings are highly recommended to avoid disappointment. For group bookings of 11 people or more please contact us by phone 02 7920 0909 (9am to 4pm) or email si.theapprentice@tafensw.edu.au. Payment in advance is required for group bookings.     Wonderful lunch overlooking Bondi beach. Radish salad, calamari and prawn pasta were delicious. Honey custard with a glass of Sauternes was fabulous. Excellent service.

    Had an amazing time last night! My friend and I arrived around 7pm to a bustling space of dim lights, gorgeous smells and Studio Ghibli playing on a small sidewall. We ordered the blended Japanese whiskies flight. I usually am not big into whiskey (my friend is the connoisseur) but I actually liked these! In fact the Hibiki Japanese Harmony was so good I plan to buy a bottle. Food wise we had 3 vege skewers (eggplant, mushroom, agadashi tofu), the charred broccolini and corn ribs. Favourites were the mushrooms and broccolini but overall everything was great. Big thank you to Tokyo Bird for a great night and we’ll definitely be back again.

    able to order individually from the 2 choices avail for each of the courses. always nice to see the students putting their training into practice, and some may understandably be a little nervous - but that's part of being a customer in this venue. interesting and delicious dishes, another great visit!
