Eight years ago, Maximo Bistrot started as a restaurant for the thinking and execution of dishes from a wide range of techniques with the best of local ingredients; a warmful place that communicated our love for food. Absolutely lovely dinner. Well paced, interesting flavors, great service. Portions are fairly small, but that allows you to try more things, and after several huge meals in the city we were happy to finish our dinner and not leave feeling stuffed. We especially loved the baby corn with hollandaise. The restaurant has a cool ambience that you don't necessarily expect from online photos. All in all a fantastic experience, and one of our favorite spots in CDMX.

The front desk staff member was not very polite, which made for an unwelcoming first impression. Despite having a reservation, I received subpar attention from her. Otherwise, the service was good but somewhat impersonal, with the exception of the bread server, who provided more personable service.
