It all began with a love story and a dream. Linwood, a chef, and Ellen, a reporter, met 36 years ago in a restaurant of course! They married and began to envision that someday they would open a restaurant of their own. The restaurant’s first business plan was written at their dining room table on an electric typewriter. In 1988 Linwoods opened its doors, and it has been a labour of love for more than thirty years. Linwoods’ cuisine consists of the freshest ingredients, and inventive preparation. Our holiday lunch at Ruth’s Chris was perfect! My husband and I opted for the Prix Fix menu in the dinner menu. From the steakhouse salad, spicy salmon and shrimp entree for me and New York strip for hubby, everything was delicious. Our server was kind and helpful. I appreciate the consistency of this restaurant; never had a bad experience!

We have been eating at Linwoods for many years. We have always loved the food and atmosphere there. The service is always great, The waiters always treat you special. We haven't been to Linwoods in awhile, simply because we live a good distance from the restaurant. We were not disappointed and can't wait to go back.
