Been coming for years.Great all round night, the best tapas by far, good wine and friendly staff. Went to San Sebastián for foodie holiday and bar San Juan is up there with the best.Only downside is getting a reservation due to how popular it is.

We went for a friend's birthday. We were able to chat without being rushed. One friend is coeliac and the manager came to ensure her order was done safely, double checking everything very professionally. A lovely evening, great food and a good choice of non alcoholic drinks.

From the very first bite, it was clear that each plate had been crafted with meticulous attention to detail. It was impossible to pick a favourite dish as every course brought something unique to the table, showcasing a remarkable depth of culinary skill. The service was equally impeccable. The staff were attentive without being intrusive, their knowledge of the dishes and wine pairings enhancing the entire experience. Every interaction felt warm and genuine, creating an atmosphere of relaxed elegance that perfectly complemented the meal. The highlight of the evening, however, was our post-dinner conversation with Chef Aktar Islam. We ate there for two evenings. The menu is limited but all the dishes we had were of a high quality. The service was efficient and friendly. On the first night there were several large groups of men who became rather loud but as the dining space is quite large, this was not too intrusive. We also ate breakfast there on three mornings. The cooked breakfast was fresh and of a good quality. There was a limited choice if like me, you didn't want cooked breakfast - only 2 cereals, only natural yoghurt. On day two, the fresh fruit ran out and there was no white bread , at the time that we ate.
