Best Restaurants for Groups in Gulf Gate Estates

We come down to Sarasota 1 or 2 times a year and one of our favorite places to dine is Dry Dcok Waterfront Grill. Tonight we had a table overlooking the bay. The service was great. Food outstanding as usual. I had Tuscan cream sauce over linguine with grouper. My husband had the grouper boathouse tacos. Both were delicious. The grouper is always fresh. Also had the lobster bisque, very good! Can't wait til our next dinner there!

Cafe Gabbiano was delightfully cozy, with wonderful cuisine and excellent service. The veal scallopini in the veal Momma Lucia was tender and delicious. Two of us shared a Caesar salad that was fresh and perfectly prepared. When the staff was informed that we had a time constraint, the expertly but comfortably accelerated our service, without rushing our meal. We will definitely return when dining in Sarasota.

Great food and ambiance. Service was a little slow, but Nick jumped in and did a great job in moving our meal delivery along. Tripletail entrees were delicious as were the bacon wrapped scallops and lobster bisque.

Delicious as always. Macadamia nut crusted grouper is my fave! Service was a little slow but I think it’s because of how busy it was and just opening up after the hurricane. Highly recommend!

We ordered oysters which were good tasting but had to navigate around the pieces of shell and rock salt in them. The clam chowder was excellent. We had 4 in our party and 2 ordered the grouper, 1 ordered the hogfish and the other ordered the mahi mahi. Unfortunately we had a medical emergency develop and were only 1/2 way through our meal. What we had tasted was good. I cannot say enough about the staff and patrons who rushed to our aid and called 911 for us. They are surely to be commended and we thank them for their assistance. We would love to come back and give this restaurant another try someday when we return to Siesta Key.
