I just wish that the fee that they charged for the entertainment went to the band.More infoLarkspur Grill at HOTEL PASEOPrice: Expensive• American• Palm Desert•4.3
- AANITAVIPGreater Boston •56 reviews5.0Dined 3 days agoEddie V's never seems to disappoint! Every time we've eaten there, we've had wonderful wait service and consistently delicious food. Sometimes it can be quite "noisy", but last evening we were seated in the private room in the back, and it was very quiet and enjoyable to be able to hear each other talk! Their outside patio is also great in warm weather. Although this restaurant is a chain, I feel that this particular venue here in Palm Desert is managed well with great employees and a fabulous kitchen staff. We take our out-of-town guests here regularly. I highly recommend it.More infoEddie V's - Palm DesertPrice: Very Expensive• Seafood• Palm Desert•4.8
- TThomasLas Vegas •4 reviews5.0Dined 3 days agoI've been very fortunate to attend Mastro's Steakhouse at multiple locations across the USA. While my review is strictly for the Palm Desert location off El Paseo Drive, I will contrast and compare from previous experiences. I will try not to compare to other similar restaurants such as Morton, The Capital Grille, Ruth's Chris, The Winery, Flemings, Selanne, etc. The similar themes across each Mastro's are the decor (upscale lighting with a similar "square shape interior roof"), vibrant bar scene, premium cuts for steak, shareable appetizers, and robust wine menu. Each location will have incredible food in general with some entrees better than others, based on your taste and preference. The difference across each Mastro's are the waiter/waitress attitude, availability of seating/reservations with the size of the restaurant, and even locally sourced ingredients used on their menu. I prefer the stone crab at the Florida Mastro's than California Mastro's. The size and taste will slightly vary as well. Both are respectable and delicious. As for this experience on the evening of 01/22/2025, we had the pleasure of being waited on by Elise for our party of 5. We asked to be sat near the bar so we may hear the wonderful pianist sing and entertain. We were celebrating my daughter's birthday and were greeted with special custom menu's with her name printed near the top. This was a delightful surprise for everyone. As mentioned previously, this was for my young daughter's birthday. She prefers daddy cooking steaks over a BBQ, smoking with hickory in a barrel, or pan fried; but we decided to spoil her with something new. This is exactly what we received. We received an experience for our family. Non-alcoholic drinks were readily available along with the basics (Lemonade and an Arnold Palmer). Now I've never taken my kids to Mastro's, so I was a little nervous about the options. Elise pointed out there's "kid options", but obviously no kid menu.
