The wine prices are expensive and they could do with a red and white wine by the glass around the $20 price point.More infoLuciePrice: Very Expensive• French• Financial District•4.6

I went for a birthday event and it did not disappoint. The atmosphere at George is upscale and inviting. The place is beautiful, and the staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Each server explained each course in detail, which was great because some of the dishes were pretty unique. The Somali was very well-informed and his recommendation was the perfect pairing with our meal. The food, Divine! Highlights included the Potato-Wrapped Tuna. This was a surprising and delightful way to start the meal. The potato crust was crispy on the outside and the tuna was perfectly cooked. The jasmine soya added a lovely umami flavor, and the carrots added a pop of sweetness. The Lobster Tartare was a standout, with a perfect balance of textures and flavors. The Beef Shortrib with Pear Marsala Tart and Goat Cheese. This was our favourite dish. The beef Shortrib was melt-in-your-mouth tender, and the pear marsala tart was a sweet and savory combination that worked surprisingly well. The goat cheese added a nice tangy counterpoint. If you added all at once it tasted SWEET. Not sure how they accomplished this feat! The dessert course, a Lemon Tart with Italian Meringue, was a refreshing and satisfying finale. Overall, my experience at George Restaurant was amazing. The food was incredible, the service was excellent, and the atmosphere was perfect for a special occasion. If you're looking for a truly unique and unforgettable dining experience, George Restaurant is the place to go. A few things to keep in mind: George Restaurant is on the pricier side, so be prepared for that. The tasting menu is a lot of food, so come hungry! Reservations are recommended, especially for events. I hope this review helps you get a sense of what George Restaurant is all about. If you're looking for a fine dining experience with a twist, I highly recommend checking it out!More infoGeorge RestaurantPrice: Very Expensive• Contemporary Canadian• Financial District•4.8
