Masala Art offers combinations you don't see often around here, but even its more familiar dishes can be revelations. Consider its samosas. They're flakier than a lot of the competition, and their filling of peas, potatoes and sweet raisins tastes fresher, too. A burst of cardamom in every bite helps. In the same vein, soft logs of minced lamb pulse with heat from jalapeno peppers, a shock offset with breezy mint.     We had a party of 7, and the service was attentive, and the food delicious. 6 people had steaks, and 1 had the vegetarian option (portobello mushroom). The mushroom portions were a bit small compared to the steak, but that is the only area for improvement to mention. The steak, frites, salad, bread and wine were exceptional. We will definitely go back, to include for large party dinners. Thank you Medium Rare Bethesda!

    Everything was perfect for my birthday celebration. The waiter was perfect--attentive, patient, and helpful in every way. Combine that with delicious food that we were able to share, and you have a great luncheon treat.
