Blacklock is a modern take of the Great British chophouse nestled in the corner of a Grade II listed textiles warehouse. We take the best meat in the country from the award-winning farmer and butcher Philip Warren in Cornwall. We cook chops simply over our charcoal grill with a little help from vintage Blacklock irons and serve it all up alongside cocktails from the trolley and wine on tap in our subterranean chop mecca. The rib-eye was absolutely perfect, succulent and cooked to perfection! All four sides were delicious, we highly recommend the turnsworth mash, beef dripping fries, creamy spinach and mac&cheese. The wine was rich and the sticky toffee pudding was the cherry on top. The service was great, our host checked up on us regularly and made sure we had everything we needed. You never have to wonder how to call over for some help! The restaurant is beautiful and feels old and rustic however the noise levels were way too high, the acoustics need to be looked into as I found myself almost having to yell across the table. Some light jazz music would also be nice!

Fantastic. Took a seat at the bar for a solo night meal as was in town for work. The Christmas burger was sublime and wine, beer and dessert wine! Service was excellent - friendly and chatty when I wanted and when I was cradling my beer and reading my book, they left me alone. Chips were amazing.
