The King and Queen is a beautiful quintessentially, English country Inn, located in the small village of East Malling, Kent. Located just 5 minutes drive from the M20 the K&Q offers everything you would expect of a 15th century coaching Inn. Serving traditional English food, from 12:00- 21:00 Weds-Sat and 12-19:30 on Sunday, we offer everything from pub lunch and classics to our full a la carte menu. Open Tuesday to Sunday with food served all day from noon.We now have 3 Giant heated Tipis, they provide lots of fresh air and a lovely open environment, they are also heated.Formerly an 18th Century farmhouse boasting exposed beams, oak floors, exposed brickwork and oak tables. This leads to a very relaxed and cosy atmosphere with candle lit tables and real flame stoves.The cuisine is typically modern European, classically cooked using cornerstones such as stock pots to create their sauces with a brigade that has a passion for what they do. The Plough isn't your average countryside pub. Sitting on a quiet lane in a quintessentially English village, The Plough was set to be sold off the developers when 120 members of the community came together to invest, and save, their local. After its purchase and renovation, the Yates family took over the kitchen and opened the pub's small, but proud, restaurant, Bowleys. Head Chef Alex Yates is still very early on in his career but though only in his early twenties, he has already spent two years in the kitchens at The Goring Hotel in London, as well as having gained experience with Rick Stein and even once cooking for the Queen. Bowleys menus have a traditional feel and adhere to classic, English fare with a fine dining twist. There are several options to choose between including a tasting menu, set lunch, a la carte, brunch and Sunday lunch. The tasting menu is the jewel in Bowleys crown and consists of five courses, with an optional sixth.

Situated in the beautiful grounds of Wildernesse House is the Pavilion restaurant. Our chef prepares delicious dishes with an emphasis on fresh and seasonal produce.
