- SSimonSydney •7 reviews5.0Dined 2 days agoAnother great meal well overall experience at Bistra! It really is a pleasure to be served by someone that know what they are doing and there menu! There are some things I can't go past like the pate and the scallops. Even for a more casual Thursday dinner (i.e. not drinking bottles of wine) the tight selection of wine by the glass covered all bases. Shout out to the lamb rump... so delicious and something that I wouldn't normally order but I am glad we did! Oh also the martini was stellar... but it was still a quiet Thursday dinner!More infoBistraPrice: Expensive• Australian• Carlton•4.9

Excellent wine list unsurprisingly Great service unobtrusive but attentiveMore infoThe EuropeanPrice: Expensive• European• Melbourne CBD•4.7
- VVickyMelbourne •3 reviews5.0Dined on Jan 2, 2025I have been there many times. The chef and other staff have changed . The standard of food and service hasn’t!! It’s a great hotel for any occasion. The food is excellent the start are welcoming knowledgeable and efficient. I am always so happy walking home after a thoroughly wonderful afternoon/ evening spent at the Royal Oak . Love dropping into the front bar with my doggos for a drink occasionally. I am so lucky this is walking distance from home . I walk past two other hotels to get there . Highly recommend!!!More infoRoyal Oak HotelPrice: Moderate• Australian• Fitzroy•4.7
- CCindyMelbourne •7 reviews4.0Dined on Dec 28, 2024Lovely food and ambience, excellent service! Reasonally priced. We enjoyed bilau (seafood set menu) and the pistachio dessert. Food tasted nice, but a tiny bit on a sweet side than I would have preferred, though still tastes good. Happy to come back on a Saturday night to check out the live music and other food in the menu.More infoNo 93 Bbq HousePrice: Expensive• Filipino• Deer Park•4.8
