- GGemmaNewcastle and Northumberland •2 reviews4.0Dined 1 day agoExcellent value for Sunday dinner, great portion and tasty food. Yorkshire’s were a bit well done for my liking and roasties too. Service was great and friendly and the atmosphere was relaxed and quiet.More infoThe Lion & LambPrice: Moderate• British• Horsley•4.7

Eg an additional £20 for fillet steak (it was delicious), an extra £10 for halibut, (it was nice but not worth the extra in my opinion). Only other point was we were told they needed the table back at a certain time which we had no problem with but we had pre booked in advance and we didn’t delay anything, the service was slower than usual but it was busy. We had literally just finished when advised the table was required now. All in all a lovely meal with friends as always. Highly recommend.More infoHibou BlancPrice: Expensive• British• Newcastle upon Tyne•4.6

Food is delicious - and especially the steaks and best truffle & Parmesan fries I’ve ever tasted You can choose from both Porterhouse & Saltwater Fish menus which is quite unique in Newcastle Service is excellent and friendly and they have a great wine listMore infoPorterhouse Butcher & GrillPrice: Moderate• Steakhouse• Newcastle upon Tyne•4.7

The staff are very friendly and helpful to make sure you get the best experience, great atmosphere and the food is outstanding! This was our third visit and it’s been superb all three times! I highly recommend the French quarter to anyone, especially anyone looking for the best French restaurant! Already looking forward to our next visit. - JJohnNewcastle and Northumberland •3 reviews4.0Dined on Feb 9, 2025Stopped here for Sunday lunch...which was excellent. Service was slow but that was because of a lack of staff in my opinion. It did not spoil the meal though. The beef was beautifully cooked along with large helpings of veg. Lovely pub in a nice location.More infoDuke of Wellington InnPrice: Expensive• Gastro Pub• Newton•4.6
