- MMaryBManchester/Greater Manchester •2 reviews5.0Dined 1 day agoWe had a delicious Sunday Roast - strip loin of beef for me and lamb for my husband. Generous portions, range of vegetables, Yorkshire puddings and roasties. ( Roasties were the only MINOR letdown - so difficult to provide crispy roasties in a busy restaurant on a Sunday; these were crisp but clearly reheated) Dessert - we really didn’t have room but it would have been rude not to! Equally yummy. Service was attentive without being overbearing. If we lived nearer we’d certainly revisit.More infoLoxley's Restaurant & Wine BarPrice: Moderate• British• Stratford-Upon-Avon•4.8
- MMatthewVIPCheshire •7 reviews5.0Dined 2 days agoBooked as a Christmas treat as a romantic evening and the Cross delivered, absolutely on point with everything. The location is unassuming from the outside but is beautiful once you enter. Plenty of space for pre drinks before you enter the dining room. Whilst the dining room is intimate, you aren’t sat too close to other tables which tends to leave you feeling awkward in some fine dining establishments. The service was excellent with fantastic attention to detail. Before we ordered from the three course A là Carte, the Amuse-bouche and bread shared by the kitchen were both an absolute treat. The December menu that we were lucky enough to select from was outstanding. The duck egg for starters was a particular treat and we both had the fillet of beef cooked over coals - all elements outstanding with particular praise to the tartlet of beef check, perfectly executed. The deserts, we choose the Hazelnut praline Soufflé and the black forest gateau. I loved both but note the gateau packs a punch with its flavour, again something that was fantastic for me but could be a little too sweet/sour for others. Overall, you can’t go wrong with the Cross which I believe, was excellent value for money.More infoThe Cross at KenilworthPrice: Very Expensive• British• Kenilworth•4.8

- SSarahWarwickshire •2 reviews5.0Dined on Nov 30, 2024I booked afternoon tea on line. I asked on that booking for no meat or fish for one person. I never had to remind them when we arrived. Another friend had also contacted them to ask for special dietary requirements separately - again no issues. The food was generous and good quality. A bottomless pot of coffee. Our waitress Hannah was particularly attentive and managed the tables well. Beautiful setting and spotlessly clean. Definitely recommend.More infoNuthurst Grange Country House Hotel & RestaurantPrice: Expensive• Contemporary British• Solihull•4.4
