This was my first trip to London. I felt it important that I experience Afternoon High Tea. I asked friends who had been—unilaterally they recommended the Savoy. It was so much more than I imagined. The service was superb—all of the staff was warm but especially Deepika was knowledgeable, exceedingly courteous, and accommodated a last minute change to the reservation. The menu offered an amazing array of flavors, textures, and colors, served beautifully on elegant china in an art deco style, posh setting designed for the pampered and special. You deserve it, too.

This was our first trip to London as a family. We were lucky enough to have a 10 day vacation planned and got to experience so much of London. The one afternoon English tea that I booked for my 11 year old daughter and myself was this one! We had a 3 o’clock seating which allowed us to enjoy our morning and early afternoon and then use this experience as our lunch and dinner! The hotel is gorgeous and the little touches from the Roald Dahl themed Charlie and the chocolate factory were modern and well done. It was an extraordinary amount of tea and hot beverages for children as well as ‘mocktails’ for kids and so many options of food and scones and treats! The highlights were definitely the delicious scones and the candy floss. My daughter said the highlight for her was how “very nice [they] were to her and to kids”. Our server, Masum, was so very attentive and accommodating and wonderful. He added so much to our fabulous experience! This is a wonderful and unique afternoon tea experience especially with school aged children. It was such a highlight of the trip for us!!!!
