- SStevenNorfolk/Suffolk •6 reviews5.0Dined 3 days agoLovely ambience, warm welcome and a lovely breakfast. Cheese soufflé with smoked haddock and a ‘mock tail’ of orange, bitter lemon and rosemary, served with a smile. The fantastic Gingerbread display made it feel very festive, incorporating a tribute to the sad recent loss of Chef Director, Richard Hughes.More infoThe Assembly HousePrice: Expensive• British• Norwich•4.6
- NNinaNorfolk/Suffolk •6 reviews5.0Dined 5 days agoThe afternoon tea was lovely, outstanding food and value, great choice of items especially the Macaron and the Chocolate black forest gateau. The atmosphere was lovely and relaxed. The table was a little cramped and on a slope but suppose it all adds to the ambience. We shall return with our golden tickets in the new year! Thank you for another wonderful time at byfords.More infoByfordsPrice: Moderate• International• Holt / Edgefield•4.6
- GGeorgeHertfordshire •2 reviews4.0Dined on Nov 11, 2024This afternoon tea was to celebrate our wedding anniversary. The food was good quality. We were expecting finger sandwiches as that is the norm but the choice of savoury was fine on the palate. Plenty of tea and we left with a couple of doggy boxes. A little disappointing that when we received the bill it showed the price of a glass of Prosecco as being £7.75 when the menu showed it as £7.00. The waiter was surprised but conceded the difference as it was shown on the menu. Overall an okay experience.More infoAfternoon tea at Benji's CafePrice: Expensive• Bistro• Norwich•3.9
