Best Restaurants with Bar Seating in Brightwood

Great place to stop for lunch on a Sunday while shopping in Georgetown. Make a reservation. It gets very busy. Good kids menu, lots of variety on the adult menu too. 

We enjoyed our lunch here with 4 young kids in tow after a morning at the Smithsonian Museums. The lunch hour was lively enough with the business and holiday luncheon crowd that i didn’t feel bad about our somewhat noisy crew which is always a worry when dining with kids. It wasn’t so loud though that we couldn’t have a conversation. The food was delicious and service was very quick for a sit down lunch. Kids got crayons and paper menus for coloring. Highly recommend if you want a nice meal with kids or an adults only lunch.

The food and service were fabulous. This restaurant is one of our favorite go to places when we are in DC. They never disappoint.

We arrived at 5:15 and we’re quickly seated and served. The food was excellent and the service good until the restaurant got full. Then the service disappeared and we waited a half an hour or more for desserts. Went full you couldn’t pull your chair out without hitting somebody else. And the noise level was high. The food was phenomenal.

The mixologist at Morris is a genius, and I loved the fact that we could tell him our favorite flavor profiles, and he could improvise brilliant cocktails! Egg whites especially appreciated, and did not mind paying the extra dollar. I did wish Morris had a real kitchen, though… Charcuterie plates and sandwiches only go so far, and then you want some hot, cooked tasty snacks to with those great cocktails.
