The name Azabu comes from a district in Tokyo, Japan, which began as a hub for merchants and local businesses. Plan Do See opened one of its first restaurants in the area, The Tokyo Restaurant, inside an historic building that used to be a bank. The food was delicious and we were so full by the end of the experience. Some of the wait staff were a bit dry, but we were there at the end of the night, so I will give them the benefit of the doubt. I don’t usually enjoy fish, but I was pleasantly surprised by the sashimi course. All of the meat was so tender and melted in your mouth. The dining room was very relaxed and there are very few tables inside. Overall, the cost of the tasting menu is definitely worth it! I would recommend this restaurant experience to small parties with adventurous pallets.

Exceptional birthday lunch with my son. We chose the selection of caviar 8 different spoons and each one was divine and the contrast was fun! The blue fin toro tartar is the best dish I’ve ever had. And the service was outstanding.

We had our wedding at the View at Battery Park and always like to go back for our anniversary dinner. The food and service were excellent! The drinks were great too. Everything that we had was perfect. We started with the marinara pizza, then had the shrimp pasta and salmon paillard, and finished with the lava cake. Everything was delicious. We highly recommend visiting the restaurant when you are in the area because you will not be disappointed.
