When I walked into the restaurant I felt like I entered a French or Swiss chalet where I was then greeted by a distinguished French speaking host. Crisp white linen table clothes adorned each table and a lovely gaslight fireplace in the center made for a perfect ambiance. All the servers were older distinguished looking gentlemen buzzing through the restaurant focused on one thing- guest hospitality! Loved it. I cannot say enough about our server from San Salvador Emilio who coursed out our dinner so perfectly, beginning with baked oysters and ending with chocolate souffle. Definitely Old World dining done to perfection! Enjoyed chatting with the guests from each side of our table! Cannot wait to return in the future! It’s been a while since I’d been to the Georgetown Clyde’s, but it was just as great as I remembered it being. I rated the noise level as moderate because the overhead music was turned on quite loud, but when asked if they would turn it down, they did. I don’t like to have music playing so loudly that I can’t visit with people right at my table and they were very accommodating. More infoClyde's of GeorgetownPrice: Moderate• American• Georgetown•4.6

So feeling a little nostalgic, I made reservations for brunch with my family. When we got there I was surprised that there was no one else in the restaurant. I had expecting it to be bustling through the Christmas holiday. Once we got used to the quiet we had an excellent meal and excellent service. We took our desserts out into the living room and enjoyed a nice long leisurely brunch. A minor disappointment for me was that the bistro was not decorated for the holiday at all . The living room more than made up for it.More infoDegrees Bistro at The Ritz-Carlton, GeorgetownPrice: Moderate• Contemporary American• Georgetown•4.1
- JJenniferBaltimore / Maryland •3 reviews5.0Dined on Dec 21, 2024A small group of us went to Thunder Burger & Bar after a show at the Kennedy Center. You can park in the Colonial Parking lot (2 minute walk to the restaurant). The service was attentive and it was cozy inside with a fire in the fireplace. We got the nacho appetizer and then we all got different burgers. Everyone had good things to say about their meals including me who got the Impossible Burger (plant-based) - so good! Fries were good too. We would definitely recommend this restaurant!More infoThunder Burger & BarPrice: Moderate• Contemporary American• Georgetown•3.9
