A True Neighborhood Tavern With its homelike atmosphere, the Valley Lodge is one of the iconic and go-to restaurants on the North Shore. Founded in 1969 by brothers Peter and Taki Adamis, the Glenview location quickly became THE popular dining destination. In 1997, new owners Bill and George Stavrou carried forward the tradition in Glenview, and later in 2014 when they opened its Wilmette location.Our philosophy has always been and is to create a true neighborhood tavern.     My family has been missing Francisca's since Francesca's on Bryn Mawr closed, so we were thrilled when Mia Francesca Lincolnwood opened. The food is delicious with many old favorites on the menu: wonderful lentils w/spinach, pasta with eggplant and spicy sauce, asparagus salad, profiteroles w/gelato. Who could ask for more? Service was really impeccable the night we were there. We will be back.

    Great spot with above average food. The salads were great, the French onion was very average, the ambience was cool. I would definitely go back but wish they can improve on the soup a bit.

    Very good service, noise level high. Recommend the chicken kabob, but forget the onion soup. Request to sit by the fireplace. Cozy.
