Best Restaurants with a Fireplace in South San Francisco

Still the best deal in all of San Francisc and BEYOND!! Combined with great mixology by head barkeep Shar and veteran William, our hard working server, it’s hard to beat the mouth watering, juicy cuts of prime rib, cut and served right out of those silver carts by a master chef. There really is no restaurant that even comes close to this historic and iconic institution…….really HoPR is Numero Uno in California!!

We love this restaurant and always make it a point to go there whenever we are in the city. Super friendly staff, and all the food courses are fantastic, freshly prepared & absolutely delicious! We will be back!

We always enjoy Foreign Cinema. They are great about accommodating my wheelchair, the food is fantastic, and the service is always excellent. We love it.

Our Christmas Day Brunch experience was fantastic. I have some food allergies so I had emailed The Post Room Team in advance and received a prompt, reassuring reply from the chef, Jose, who had clearly given my questions thoughtful and thorough consideration. On the day, I received personal service from Jose who was committed to avoiding issues with cross-contamination. All the food we ate was delicious and the dining room team could not have been more welcoming or accommodating. We were so well looked after, it was a faultless festive experience. We only went out for our Christmas meal this year because I had recent hand surgery and can’t cook much. However, our experience at The Post Room was so delightful, I am considering doing it again next year. Thank you to Jose and the whole team.

We enjoyed unique SF views while enjoying delicious small plates. The sweet potato quesadilla was amazing and the service friendly and exceptional. A very very short walk to Civic Center Bart and Orpheum Theater.
