Helmand Restaurant offers Afghani dishes with a wood-burning oven where the famous flatbread is cooked on one side of the room and an intimate fireplace is on the other side.Helmand Restaurant entrées include tasty choices like qabelee, which is pallow rice baked with chunks of lamb tenderloin, raisins and glazed carrots or mantwo, a homemade pasta shell filled with beef and onions. Seated immediately and enjoyed our meal. Delicious food and great drinks (Gingerbread Espresso Martini and Gingerbread Glacier Brew).We split the banana bread and each had the Eggs Benedict with avocado. Neither of us was able to finish our eggs. The hash browns were delicious! Our water was constantly filled and the server was present without being intrusive. Crowded and very noisy but fun!
