- WWesleyPhiladelphia County •1 review5.0Dined 3 days agoTo be fair, I personally went to Almanac for drinks and so the food rating was based upon price point, uniqueness, and description. However, best you make your own decisions. The drinks, service, price and ambiance were terrific. I was treated with kindness the moment I walked in and those feelings of kindness, joy of service and attention to detail did not diminish as my evening went on. The head bartender, Rob, and his amazing second, Jordan, were absolutely incredible and I was lucky to be able to watch them in action at the bar. They talked happily with patrons while offering challenging options to customized drinks. I personally had a highball (refreshing and great start to the evening), a Kasugai Sour (a personal selection by the bartender, Rob), and ended my evening with a House Punch (a selection by Jordan). Almanac was incredible. With a focus on slowing things down and savoring every moment, with and without a drink, it was well worth the wait.More infoAlmanacPrice: Expensive• Cocktail Bar• Old City•4.7
- WWilliamVIPPhiladelphia County •334 reviews5.0Dined 4 days agoThis was our first time at lock bar and overall it was very good. We did not know being Christmas Eve of the kitchen was closing early which we were not thrilled about because we had a later dinner reservation and it forced us to order before we wanted to. The server also had a few miscues on the timing of things sending out the food too early but they rectified it and it was all okay. We both have the cream of crab soup which was very very good. I have the crab cake and the server said it was considered some of the best in the city and I would agree with that it was all pure crab meat no filler.More infoLoch Bar - PhiladelphiaPrice: Expensive• Seafood• Center City•4.5
