Best Live Music Restaurants in Berkley

I took my family for Christmas and the absolute star of the holiday (besides Jesus Christ himself) was Aaron (manager)!! It was a VERY busy day, they were overwhelmed but didn’t skip a beat. Food took a little long because of the festivities but I wouldn’t change a thing. It’s great to see a restaurant thriving! Our server Mikail (spelling?) was also a delight, we are grateful for people working on Christmas and making it special :)

I had leek soup, which was nice and hot, good presentation, and tasted good. My wife had a salad, which she said was good, large pieces of feta cheese. The bread was warm, soft, and tasty. She also had the prime strip steak, which was cooked correctly, to order. I had the caccio e pepe, which was better than expected, and I really liked it. Quality over quantity. My wife had Riesling, I had red wine (ironically, should've been the other way around given what we ate). I had a red Burgundy, which was good; then a Willamette pinot noir, which was a very nice sequence. She had a lemon cake for dessert, I had a vintage port wine, which was quite good. Overall we enjoyed the meal. Loud at first, but it quieted down. Narrow space to walk between tables, then larger as more people departed. Spent $250 with tip.

Great ambiance, great wine, great food. We liked the steak/frites and salmon best! Great wine selection.

An exceptional experience from start to finish! The decor at 220 Merrill is modern and inviting, creating a relaxed yet upscale atmosphere. The dishes were beautifully presented and packed with flavor. The seafood pasta was a standout, and the dessert selection was decadent. The staff really knows how to make you feel special, and they made our celebration even more memorable. Highly recommend!
