An exceptionally stylish supper club, civilized speakeasy, a sophisticated saloon. Each of these "personae" is housed in a soaring two-story interior distinguished by a gently curving mahogany bar, fluted columns with ornate capitals, stunning original art, plush banquettes, cozy booths, starched linens, glittering glasses, and polished flatware. Overall, the ambiance is pure 1930's and 1940's - tasteful art moderne reminiscent of the glory days of Cunard and French Line ships. Fashionable and glamorous are the hallmarks.     My wife and I are long time Yoshi dinner and concert fans, especially when Boney James comes to town. We first say him and his group perform at Yoshi’s in San Francisco many years. Since then, we always attend his Oakland Yoshi’s performances and it’s always a great dinner and show. So for 2024, thanks once again Yoshi’s for another great dinner and show.     Acre never disappoints. This was no exception. There was a delay in the kitchen and food was taking longer than usual to come out. We barely noticed because we were with old friends catching up. But the manager came out and apologized and brought us a free appetizer and comped another round of drinks, so we were all good!
